#10. As Long As You’re Sitting There
In the tradition of my kegels coach and stability ball posts, I continue my efforts to help you improve your postpartum health while expending a minimum of energy.
So, as long as you’re sitting there….
Why not stick your legs out in front of you, hold them straight by tightening your abs and point your toes. Hold them for three seconds. One. Two Three.
OK. Now turn your toes up toward you and flex for three. One. Two. Three.
Feel the burn and…relax.
Good for us. While I was writing that, I used my areobics instructor tone of voice in my head while choosing the words. Being a writer is often like being a method actor so sometimes I really have to annoy myself like that.
The point of this excercise: Even if you were luck enough not to get varicose veins during pregnancy, you could probably still use a little help pumping the blood through your legs after exposing them to all that extra weight and pressure.
I am still on vacation without Internet access, but I wrote posts for you to read every day that I am gone. Feel free to leave me a comment to read when I get home.
