Another Look At Maternal Dental Care
Exactly a year ago, I was preparing for my annual dental exam.
On my mind was the piece of folk wisdom that said, ”Mothers lose a tooth for every child they have.”
All the problems I have scheduling and keeping appointments are still haunting me and I have unintentionally fallen asleep before brushing my teeth a few times. Still, I like to think I am doing everything I can to avoid false teeth (as entertaining as my grandparents tried to make dentures seem).
Are you?

I’ve actually been at the dentist more lately than I have in a while, though I tend to take advantage of whatever my insurance provides, which currently is two cleanings/exams per year, with x-rays taken at one of those.
I once had to take a tiny baby with me. He slept in the stroller during the procedure.

Bringing babies and toddlers with you to appointments makes for quicker service.
I am bringing my 4 year-old with. Should be an adventure.
