Another Postcard from Bulgaria
Zdravei!
The kids and I have just returned to our base here in Bulgaria after spending 5 days on the Black Sea with my husband’s cousin and his family. Sometimes, my life is difficult :-)
I am in an Internet Cafe with both kids because I feel neglectful of my blog, but this is chaotic! I want to research and write about how your female hormones can affect how well your sunscreen works, but I can’t get the dedicated time to do it carefully. So, let me just tell you this:
Be sure you don’t have any residue from products containing silicon on your skin. This includes things like shower gel. Remember to apply your sunscreen half an hour before you go out in the sun and, if you have your period, are pregnant, post partum or breastfeeding, apply it twice. After the first layer dries, apply another layer about 10 minutes before you go out.
As soon as I get back to my own computer and some childcare, I’ll research this properly and give you lots of links on the topic.
