b5media Talks about Pregnancy Pact
For those of you that are just now tuning in over the weekend I posted about the Pregnancy Pact that has left 17 teen girls pregnant at Gloucester High School. Course the US is in an uproar over the whole thing. I mean here we are always stating we are preventing teen pregnancies and how they are lower than ever and suddenly there’s an epidemic or outbreak with them at a high school in a fisherman town.
I’ve been following the story pretty closely and will probably update a lot more within the next week or two, but in the meantime I thought I’d point you towards others in the b5media families that are talking about it.
Yes, even men are blogging about this, take a peek at what Bill over at Insidefatherhood.com has to say about this. I agree Bill this is very sad that they would go this far to have a child of their own at the same time.
Solo Mother wrote Teen Pregnancy Pact has me Throwing Up this Morning. I can’t say I blame her since it is a sick story. But she does pose a lot of questions I’d love to be answered.
-will they finish school
-will they go to college
-how will they support themselves
WearyParent wants to know if Hollywood is to blame? With movies like Juno and Knocked Up and role models like Jamie Lynn Spears, I wonder.
Gayla over at Guerrilla Parenting asked How are parents of boys supposed to protect them from girls like this? After reading all the news reports you’d think these girls were raped, and it really seems they planned it all and may have tricked the boys.
Even Simply Dumb posted about this. I agree, this was totally dumb and even if it was planned out it wasn’t planned far enough.

These Gloucester girls are swigging whiskey, doing meth, smoking pot, and sucking God only knows what else…just give these little harlots some birth control pills so they will stop screwing up their family’s lives.
