Baby Left In Car
Police have arrested a couple after discovering they’d actually left their newborn baby, 9-weeks-old, in their vehicle while they went to watch the Kentucky Derby.
This angers me more than I can even write it out. These parents were lucky that nothing happened to their infant. There is just no excuse for this, if they didn’t want to bring the infant to the Derby hire someone to watch your baby. DON’T LEAVE ANY CHILD IN A VEHICLE.
The parents Krystal Rose Downes, 24, and Jhimy Alban Vintimilla, 28, have been charged wtih a misdemeanor on endangering the welfare of a child. However I think they need to take a few parenting classes and spend some time locked up behind bars. After all that is what they did it to their little child, but they knew where everyone was and had food and water.
Believe it or not the mom saw nothing wrong with what she did since she left the vehicle running and the heat on. Eeek. What’s your thought on this? Was this just a new parents mistake or someone that just wanted to do what they wanted to do?

no joke I was so mad just reading that online this morning I had to blog it. I know some think it is okay to leave a baby in the car but it isn’t so much can happen.
In this case: over heating the baby, car gets stolen, fumes from the car, baby gets sick and chokes on vomit, etc. Not something any parent should do.

The baby should be given to new parents. Krystal & Jhimy should go to jail.

NINE WEEKS? That’s neglect. Child endangerment. And just stupid. I don’t think that’s a new parent/ rookie mistake. You just don’t leave a baby that young alone.
Someone could steal the car, could steal the baby, etc. You’re right, this makes me angry, too.

The heat on? Was she trying to kill the baby faster? I hope that this child is put into foster care for it’s own safety and that they have to work to get it back. Ignorance is dangerous.

When I was a baby it was common practice to leave your baby sleeping in the pram outside your home or a shop. It was different times, but the only risk to the child was abduction, and that almost never happens.
The parents were not far away, they knew where their baby was, and they knew it was safe and warm. You leave your baby in its bedroom when you’re out on the porch - no?
Yes, they were very, very stupid, but what they need is a bit of re-education.
After all, they live in a country which elected George W Bush as president. Twice.
