Baby Walker Recall
Over 800 baby walkers have been recalled. Why? The walkers aren’t made to stop at the edge of a step, which means the baby can topple down the stairs, severely injuring themselves.
Currently no baby has been hurt and this is just a precaution for now.

I can’t believe those are even still on the market. My friend’s daughter plunged down the stairs in one of those — it’s a miracle she wasn’t killed. Why would anyone want one of those dangerous things instead of the stationary saucer?

When my big kids were little, the advice was to not use a walker. By the time Sarah came around I didn’t see them in stores anymore - just those saucer-thingys. I’m very surprised that they make them again. Not surprised that babies are hurt using them. :(

I had a walker for my daughters, and actually removed the rubber pieces that act as the stopper. Since I have a one story house this really isn’t a problem. I am surprised though, that these made it to the market. But in today’s global economy many things slip past the inspectors and make it into market.
