Breastfeeding Week
The UK just announced that they are going to officially have a “Breastfeeding Week” in May. For those that don’t know, the National Awareness of Breastfeeding week will be (in the UK) from May 11th to May 17th. Events such as getting a breast buddy and talks about how to breastfeed and the benefits to doing it.
As for the United States, the Breastfeeding Week is done every year, this year it’ll be from August 1st to the 7th. Every year there is a theme and this year’s theme is tied right in with the Olympics: Mother Support : Going for the Gold.

It’s funny, in Canada, we celebrate Breastfeeding Week in the first week of October. I guess as long as we’re celebrating it.
