How Much Did you Gain?
Everyone has their own story on how big or little they gained when it came to pregnancy. For instance, with my first two children I was ordered to gain weight. The issue at the time was I couldn’t because of severe morning sickness, in the end I gained basically baby weight. By baby weight I mean when I had the baby it came right off. However, with my third and fourth child I gained baby and mommy weight. I’m sure I don’t have to explain that. BabyCenter has a weight gain estimator which tells you how much you should gain.
1st & 2nd child- less than 20 (lost weight easily)
3rd & 4th child- 35+ (umm, still trying to lose it)
While the doctors state it is safe to gain anywhere from 25-35 pounds per pregnancy they don’t always tell you how easy/hard it will be to lose all that weight. They might tell you that every pregnancy is different and you might lose it all when the baby is born or take several months to lose it. I, myself, was never told…it’ll never come off, however it hasn’t since my last two. Now between the four pregnancies I did notice that the lack of getting sick helped to gain the additional weight and kept me and the pregnancy safe.
Keep in mind, always ask your doctor how much you should gain. If you think you aren’t losing the right amount after having the baby you may want to consult a doctor.

I gained around 20kg, so 44 pounds. I’d have to check my Muttipass to see how much it really was. I lost it relatively easy and then some. :)
