More than a Stall to Pump in…
For more than 2 decades, Working Mother magazine has published an annual list of the most mother-friendly companies to work for. Their methodology looks at benefits ranging from maternity leave to back up daycare in case your regular caregiver calls in sick. An overview of the list reveals that not only are some workplaces better for mothers, but some careers are probably just better too. The list is heavy with representation from accounting firms, insurance agencies and health care organizsations. It’s certainly encouraging me to look for a better job.

I have mastered the act of driving and pumping milk, from both boobs mind you, at the same time. The world of academia does not lend itself to pumping milk so it’s nice to see such attention being paid to the issue.
