The Great Water Bottle Purge

Right. We’re weaning. Well, it is my intention to wean and the baby’s intention not to let it happen. What I am winning is the battle against water bottles. Like most nursing mothers, I am prone to sudden dehydration. I keep water bottles next to my usual nursing spots. That is, I try to keep water everywhere and often forget all about it. As a result, I have found abandoned water bottles under the bed, under every chair, under the couch, tucked behind the curtain fall on window sills and under the seats of the car. Rooting them out, so far, has been a lot easier than weaning.

That brings back memories! I used to have a HUGE glass of water with about 2 ounces of juice in it for flavour right beside the nursing rocking chair spot in Callum’s little room. Sigh.
It is hard to get him to sit still for longer than 2 minutes these days - even when he is eating or taking a bottle - he always occupied with some activity at the same time. While eating he likes to practice with his own spoon, scooping imaginary food out of an empty bowl and putting it to his mouth in between his more successful hand to mouth stuff…..

Oh Sarah! What a lovely, lovely image. Callum obviously inherited your surgeon’s dexterity.
