The View From My Window
I’d like to take a moment and invite you to peer outside my window. I have two windows that I can see from here, the one is a glass door that leads out to my balcony. The other is the kitchen window that looks directly outside into the trees.
The balcony is a place where the kids have had a small wading pool filled up and played in as I sat beside them and a place where the hubby and I chitchat after he comes home from work. Also out here is peace in quiet, something I need some days with four kids and one being a very active baby. But it isn’t just about getting away, there’s nature all around and watching it is an amazing experience.
I’ve watched the bare trees become fully dressed and have birds, rabbits and squirrels all around them. Twice a week my little girl, Babygirl who is 4, and I will toss bread crumbs for them. Off to the side of the house, just under the gutter is a bird nest so every morning we get to hear them chirp their beautiful music. I watch them swoop down to grab up the food and quickly fly back. The squirrels love to play tag in the trees and on occasion will hop over and eat stuff off the porch. As you can see it is all fun and educational for the kids just to look outside my window.
