To Get Shots for Your Baby or Not?

A reader has asked me the question of whether or not they should have their baby get those shots for the first year of their life. Now instead of just listing my answer I thought we could all have fun with this and answer. Keep in mind everyone will have their own opinion but maybe it’ll help someone decide.

For myself, we’ve always given the children shots. As new parents we went with the norm and the norm (at the time) was shots for babies, there were no ifs and or butts about it. It was just done. Today, all my kids are almost up to date, except for Little A and honestly I don’t fret if he is or not. The others I would’ve been worrying about them dieing from the lack of a certain shot.

My kids have never had a BAD reaction to them, they did have fevers though and we’d just do the back to back Ibprofren and children’s tylenol to beat the fever. This does not mean every child will be like this, some get no reaction what-so-ever, others have BAD reactions. Still some don’t get the shot at all and never have to deal with it. What’s your story?
