Weight Poll

bikiniAfter Birth: Did you Deal with Weight Issues?

I’ll be the first to step up to the plate. Not at first, with my first two children my weight went right back to where it had been before getting pregnant. With that being said, these were the worst pregnancies out of the four children. Both had me with the all day morning sickness, too much, that I was rushed to ER several times. With my son, the first pregnancy, the doctor told me not to become attached as I couldn’t gain the weight and I probably wouldn’t be able to go to term. My second pregnancy I had the same sickness and was rushed to ER for having a blood sugar level of 45, I should’ve been in a diabetic coma they told me at the hospital. Once I gave birth the weight went away.

However, my third and fourth births this did not happen, in fact I was wanting to eat everything in sight.  I wasn’t getting sick as much (thanks to a pill) and hubby went away so I think I ate more with him being gone. Once she was born, I didn’t lose the weight, he came back when she was 7 weeks.  He took me out to try on dresses for the Marine Corps Ball, I quickly became depressed when nothing would fit me.  I had gained weight after birth, this would continue on to today. I never did lose the weight after my third and gained more with my fourth. I’ve tried dieting, course you really shouldn’t do that while you breastfeed, so I’ve had my ups and downs with weight. How about you?

Currently we’ve had three people take this poll, two yes and one no. Let’s see some more results to this poll. Look in the sidebar for the poll. You can come back here to respond. I’m also sending out some questions for those that want to take part. Let me know.

I’ve had weight problems since my son four, yes, four years ago. Mine isn’t trying to lose it though mine is putting it on. My bmi is 16.2 which is seriously underweight. Before I got pregnant I was at best “chubby” or “chunky” now the opposite is true.

I am going to answer your email, and I voted yes in the poll, but I am having trouble keeping weight on post-partum, and I gained over 40 pounds during my pregnancy! Talk about a complete turn-around.
